Three arrested in Wicomico County drug investigation

Three people are facing drug charges, after deputies say they were arrested as a result of a drug investigation, in Wicomico County.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office say on Thursday,  their Community Action Team assisted members of the Criminal Investigation Divsion with executing a search and seizure warrant in the 1300 block of Jersey Road, in Salisbury.

Deputies say that the warrant was a result of a multiple week investigation regarding the distribution of controlled dangerous substances in Wicomico County. According to the report, once inside the home, investigators say they detained 34-year-old Malinda Mitchell and 29-year-old Samantha Mitchell, both of Salisbury, and 35-year-old Marvin Banks, of Willards. During the search, authorities report that they seized 7.4 grams of cocaine, 76.3 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of heroin, 87 Xanax pills, (50) 22 caliber bullets, approximately $5,700 cash in drug proceeds, numerous digital scales, packaging material, and multiple cell phones.

Malinda Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell, and Banks were arrested and charged with possession of CDS with the intent to distribute: narcotic (cocaine), Possession of CDS with the intent to distribute: narcotic (heroin), possession of CDS with the intent to distribute: narcotic (xanax), possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of CDS: heroin, cocaine, Xanax, possession of marijuana: more than 10 grams, and illegal possession of ammunition.

They were later released, after each posting a $25,000 bond.
