Early morning shooting on South New Street injures one

Dover Police are investigating an early Monday morning shooting on South New Street that sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Shortly before 2:15 AM, officers responded to the unit block of South New Street for reports of multiple gunshots. Officials say a 22-year-old man showed up at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital at the same time suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. The injury was not life threatening, police said.
