Former JTVCC warden reassigned to Bureau of Community Corrections

The former warden of the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center has been reassigned to the Bureau of Community Corrections, officials with the Delaware Department of Correction confirmed to 47 ABC.
Former Warden David Pierce had been placed on administrative leave with pay in February, with Phillip Parker taking his place and serving as acting warden. Officials declined to comment at the time whether the personnel change was related to the hostage situation that took place in early February.
Department of Correction Chief of Community Relations Jayme Gravell said Pierce's current duties are equivalent to his Warden V merit grade.
