Tractor trailer-involved accident on Federalsburg Highway sends one to shock trauma

Maryland State Police say they are investigating a car crash that happened Wednesday morning near Federalsburg.

According to officials, a Jeep Compass was hit broadside by a tractor trailer while pulling out onto Federalsburg Highway from Chipmans Lane shortly after 9:30 AM.

The driver of the Jeep Compass was flown to shock trauma.

The southbound shoulder on Md. Route 313 was closed for a period but has now been reopened.
