Queen Anne’s police dogs recieve protective vests from charity

The Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office says two of their police dogs have received protective body armor from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., the same organization that provided a vest to Easton Police K9 Meeko last week.
K9 Bella's protective vest is sponsored by The Chive Maryland while K9 Zora's vest is sponsored by Route One Apparel of Hunt Valley, Md. as part of the The Chive Maryland's fundraising efforts.
The K9 vests are designed to be bullet and stab protective.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. says each vest has a value between $1,795 and $2,234, but the donation to provide a vest for a law enforcement dog is $1,050.
The Massachusetts-based charity has been providing protective vests for law enforcement animals throughout the country since 2009, donating more than 2,200 vests over the past seven years, officials say.
