Red Cross shelter remains open in Wico Co.

Officials say a red cross emergency shelter remains open for anyone affected by the flooding. The location is the Wicomico Presbyterian Church on Broad Street.Red Cross officials tell us they’ve sheltered seven or so people within the past day and a few people have stopped in to get resources for reporting house damages.
Beverly Scott, a volunteer nurse for the Red Cross says, “Some people are in temporary situations with their family or maybe just a neighbor and they don’t know how long they will be able to have them stay there, so they might need sheltering or information on how to get some more permanent situation.”
Red Cross officials tell us they will remain at the church until 1 PM tomorrow, unless the county advises them to open later.
