Man arrested and charged following Sept. 26 bank robbery

Police report they were able to identify and arrest a man in connection to a bank robbery that happened on September 26.
Officers of the Salisbury Police Department responded to the First Shore Federal Bank, located at 1116 Mt. Hermon Road for a report of a bank robbery around 1PM last Monday.
Bank employees stated that an unarmed, unmasked suspect had entered the bank, showed them a note, and demanded money.

Detectives say they were able to interview witnesses as well as review additional local business CCTV footage.
The video footage and interviews led to officials being able to identify Michael Wayne Carey 2nd, 37, as the suspect who robbed the bank.
According to the report, an arrest warrant for Carey was issued on Friday, charging him with the bank robbery.
Officials say that early on Saturday morning, with the assistance of the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Carey was found in Greenwood, Delaware where he was taken into custody without incident.
Carey was taken to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he is waiting for an initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
The report notes that Carey is being charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and theft.
