Boat fire in Stevensville under investigation

A boat fire is under investigation, in Queen Anne’s County. The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal’s says on Wednesday around 2:30 PM, a boat owner contact authorities, after finding fire and heat damage to his 2004 25 foot Parker boat, on Congressional Drive, in Stevensville.

No fire department response was necessary, but damages are estimated to total $8,500. No injuries were reported.

Officials say the owner discovered the fire and heat damage to the boat, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to investigate. They are apparently still working on figuring out where the fire started, and what caused it.
