UPDATE: Suspect, victim identified in fatal Hurlock shooting

Members of the Maryland State Police say Brandon Milton, 33, of Hurlock, is on the run and has been charged with first and second degree Murder in the death of Floyd Cain, 45.

According to Troopers, around 2:30 PM Friday, police were dispatched to a call of shots fired on the 200 block of of Gold Rush Lane at Prospect Heights Apartments.

Police say they found Cain suffering from two gunshot wounds inside a residence. He was reportedly taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Following Cain’s death, Troopers say the MSP Homicide Unit took over the investigation. State Police say Cain was shot outside of the complex, and witnesses identified Milton as the alleged shooter. He reportedly shot Cain twice with a black handgun.

Police on-scene told 47 ABC Milton fled in an older-model red or burgundy Mustang.
