Westbound Old Ocean City Road closed due to crash

State Police are currently on the scene of a vehicle crash in Salisbury, that has damaged a utility pole.

Maryland State Police say Old Ocean City Road westbound is closed, because of a single vehicle crash, involving a utility pole. Officials say the utility lines are currently down, and Authorities are waiting for Delmarva Power to arrive on scene, to assess the damages. They are then expected to inform Authorities how long the lines will be down for.

The eastbound lane of Old Ocean City Road is open, but traffic is moving slowly. The crash reportedly happened near the Beaver Run Elementary School.

We’re told the driver of the vehicle was taken from the scene to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. No word on the extent of their injuries.
