UPDATE: Information sought on the death of an infant in Millsboro

Valorie Handy, 51 of Millsboro, DE

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit detectives say they are continuing the investigation into the death of an infant at a Millsboro daycare, and are asking other parents of the daycare, for information.

Back in July, 51-year-old Valorie Handy, of Millsboro, was indicted on one charge of murder by abuse or neglect first degree, in connection to the death of the ten-month-old baby who was in her care at Handy’s Little Disciples Daycare in January 2015.

Authorities say the death of that child has been ruled a homicide, and the investigation by the homicide unit detectives is on-going.

The Attorney General’s Office and the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit have apparently joined forces on the investigation, and are looking to speak with parents or guardians of any children who have ever attended Handy’s Little Disciples Daycare.

Authorities ask that if your child ever attended that facility, located on Layton-Davis Road in Millsboro, to contact Detective J. King at 302-698-8561 or Attorney General Investigator P. Fraley at 302-856-5353.
