One suspect in Rakim Russell murder indicted

According to court documents, Larry Ennis was indicted for 14 charges related to the murder of 17-year-old Rakim Russell on Monday.

Officials say Ennis faced 19 charges originally, but after facing a grand jury will only face 14. According to court documents, Ennis is no longer facing two Second Degree Conspiracy of Murder charges, and two Second Degree Conspiracy of Assault charges or a Concealed Dangerous Weapon charge.

Ennis, along with Ky’Shir Connally and Jarrett stokes, were arrested last week in the murder of Rakim Russell.

According to the State’s Attorney Matt Maciarello, the cases against the Connally and Stokes are expected to be brought to a grand jury, however there is no timeline on when that will happen.

All three men are being held without bond.
