ESBL: Diaz Nardo Goes Yard In Perdue’s Win
The Perdue Chicks and The Thunder took the field on Thursday night for another game in the Eastern Shore Baseball League.
Delmar grad, Nate Smith, took the mound for the Shorebirds and helped keep the Thunder off the board for the first couple of innings. While both teams had a tough time putting runs on the board, Diaz Nardo knocked one out of the park for Perdue to take a 1-0 lead.
The score would remain the same until the fifth inning when the Chicks rallied scoring ten runs throughout the next four innings. In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunder scored two runs, but it wouldn’t be enough to take back the lead.
The Chicks take down the Thunder, 11-6, while Perdue continues to remain in the top spot of the Eastern Shore Baseball league with an 11-2 record.
