UPDATE: Suspect still at large after shooting in Salisbury

Police in Salisbury are looking for information, after a man was shot while walking through a park on Monday night.

Lieutenant Tim Robinson, with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, tells 47 ABC a suspect is still at large after the shooting was first reported in the Price Road area but later it was discovered the incident happened near Lake Street.

Salisbury Police say during their combined investigation with the Sheriff’s Office, they found that the man has just walked through the Lake Street playground, towards Booth Street, when he heard gunshots, and ran. Police say he ran towards Collins Street, and was hit one time in the leg while he was running.

Robinson tells us a male victim was taken from Price Road by EMS, and treated for non-life threatening injuries at Peninsula Regional Medical Center before being released a few hours later. Police say there is no information on the suspect as of yet. At last check, Robinson says the victim is cooperating with detectives from the Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation.
