Mallards Coast To Victory Over Jaguars

The Worcester Preparatory School girl’s basketball team outscored Salisbury Christian in all but one quarter to coast to a 43-31 victory Friday night. With the victory, the Mallards improve to 12-3.

Worcester Prep carried the advantage through the first quarter, outscoring the Jaguars, 11-8, and used that momentum into the next eight minutes, shutting down Salisbury Christian for just six points in the second quarter. With a 24-14 lead at the break, the Mallards wouldn’t give up the lead for the rest of the game.

The Mallards were led by two 14-point scorers in Molly Soule and Sophie Brennan, while the Jags were paced by Liui Sansom and Savanna Dukes with seven points apiece.

Worcester Prep is back in action on Monday when Saints Peter and Paul travels to Berlin for a 5:30 start. Salisbury Christian travels to Delmarva Christian on Monday for a 4:00 start.
