Mardela Girls Basketball Pick Up Road Win At Pocomoke

The Mardela girls basketball team picked up a big win Thursday night when they traveled to Pocomoke and won 59-52. The win improves Mardela to 11-1, while the loss drops Pocomoke to 11-3.

Mardela would jump out to the early lead led by Demyra Selby. The senior was score in the open court continuelly on her way to a game high 26 points. Pocomoke would battle back though behind solid play from their star play Dynaisha Christian. She would finish with 17 points and 17 rebounds to get this game close down the stretch. But Selby and company would close the door late to hold on for the win. 

Mardela returns to the court Tuesday when they host Crisfield, while Pocomoke returns to action Tuesday when they host Wicomico High School.
