Oakdale Executes Offense, Cruises Past Woodbridge
Oakdale took down Woodbridge 65-40 in their opening game at the Governors Challenge at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center Friday night.
Oakdale used fundamental offensive basketball and smothering defense to hold Woodbridge to just over 30% for the game. The Bears held the Raiders to two single digit scoring quarters.
Oakdale was led by point guard Jared Ruiz’s 19 points. Ruiz shot 7-14 from the field, including 3-7 from behind the arc, with the Bears shooting 51% as a team. For Woodbridge, Corey Corbin had a team high 12 points, while Randy DuPont added 11.
