Dover PD investigating 3rd convenience store robbery in week

Police in Dover are investigating a third convenience store robbery within the city, in a week.

Dover Police say on Monday just before 7:15 PM, a man wearing a white plastic bag over his face walked into the Stop-N-Shop on Walker Road, and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect was reportedly armed with a knife. Police say the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, during which the clerk touched the knife, which cut her hand. The suspect then reportedly fled.

Investigators have described the suspect as a heavy set black man, last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, gray gloves, and a white plastic bag over his head. This is the third convenience store robbery within the last week, that is being investigated by Dover Police.

The 1st incident happened on December 3rd at the Valero station on North DuPont Highway, with the second happening on December 6th at the Stop-N-Shop on White Oak Road.
