SU Women’s Soccer Fall To CNU

Salisbury, MD – The Salisbury University women's soccer team had a tough loss Wednesday afternoon after falling to Christopher Newport 1-0. The loss drops the Sea Gulls to (12-3-3, 8-0-1 CAC)

The Captains took the lead early on after Danielle Pratt was able to settle a cross that went through Michelle Conrad's hands, and then volley it home. Conrad would make up for it though as she was then pelted with several shots the remainder of the first half but was able to save all of them. The Captains continue to dictate the tempo in the second half and fire shot upon shot on goal but the Gulls defense would close the door. Finally with 10 minutes remaining in the game, SU's offense came alive. Victoria Luc would lead the charge that finally found some shots on goal, but they weren't ever able to find the back of the net.

Salisbury returns to action next Wednesday when they play the winner of No. 3 St. Mary's College of Maryland and No. 6 University of Mary Washington in the conference tournament.
