Harrington man arrested on theft charges for second time in two months

A man accused of stealing mums earlier in the fall, has been arrested on theft charges again.
Harrington Police say on Tuesday, Officers on patrol were contacted by the Harrington Fire Company, about 70-year-old Robert Kopp Sr., being on fire company property on Clark Street, stealing items.
Once on scene, Police say they found that Kopp had taken several pieces of metal pipe off of the property, and loaded them onto his hand cart. He was apparently in the process of taking it back to his home, when police stopped him.
Kopp was arrested, and the items were returned to the fire company. Kopp also apparently had an active court order, barring him from bring out after curfew, expect for doctor’s visits, stemming from his October arrest.
He was then taken to the Harrington Police Department, where he was charged with theft under $1,500, and breech of release, and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
