Record breaking performance leads Harford Christian past Mardela at Governor’s Challenge

The 2017 Governor's Challenge started with a bang. Several opening day games went down to the wire, including Harford Christian and Mardela.

The Warriors would trail by double digits in the second half but would storm back to tie things up midway through the fourth.

The true difference maker however, as he was throughout the entire game, was Harford Senior Guard Derreck Orr.

Orr tallied 24 points in the first half and added another 20 in the second, breaking the record for most points scored in a single game at the Governor's Challenge. 

The Eagles would go onto top the Warriors 75-71, opening play 1-0.
