Deputies: Body found outside Accomack Co. home; investigation ongoing

QUINBY, Va. - An investigation is ongoing, after deputies say a man's body was found outside of a home, in Accomack County.

The Accomack County Sheriff's Office says on Wednesday, just before 1:30 PM, deputies received a report of an unresponsive subject in the area of Bradford Neck Road, in Quinby. Once on scene, deputies say they discovered a man's body lying on the back deck of the residence.  

According to authorities, medical personnel on scene pronounced the subject as deceased. On Thursday, deputies say the body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy was performed, and officials say there were no signs of trauma or gunshot wounds. The cause of death is pending.

Deputies report that the individual was identified as 34-year-old Kenneth Simpkins Jr., of Onancock.

This incident remains under investigation.
