UPDATE: Eden couple facing add’l charges following alleged puppy mill bust

An Eden couple arrested for allegedly running a puppy mill out of their Eden property are facing more charges.
Robert and Susan Murphy have been indicted on 96 counts each, according to Wicomico County State's Attorney Ella Disharoon.
Disharoon tells 47ABC they were indicted Monday.
The couple was initially facing 84 counts each, including animal cruelty, when they arrested in July; however, Disharoon says more charges including aggravated animal cruelty have since been added.
The Murphy's were taken into custody in July 2016 after 310 dogs were removed from their Cooper Road property in April 2016.
Court documents explain in graphic detail the dogs were allegedly found in, including pens that "contained trash and debris" with "feces observed piled up next to the pens" with little air conditioning.
It took Animal Control roughly 14 hours to remove the dogs.
