The Wi-Hi boys basketball team fought the whole game, and just when it looked like the Rams had forced overtime, a sophomore pulled a veteran move that would put his team over the top. Devonta Dixon would corral a rebound with just seconds left in a tied ball game, feel a little contact and fall forward to draw the foul call.

Mallone Explodes For 47 In Eagles Wild Win

DaJuan Mallone had some good shooting nights before, but he had never been in a zone like this before. The guard exploded, finishing with a career high 47 points, including 8 3's as he single handily powered North Dorchester past Saint Michaels in the first round of the Maryland State Tournament.

This wasn't suppose to be Stephen Decatur's year. They had graduated 5 key seniors last year, way before losing their coach to her battle with cancer. They fell to Pocomoke at home. The cards were stacked against them. None of that mattered on Thursday.
