Hi, Delmarva!
I’m Sophia Peters and I serve as the Web and Social Media Manager for WMDT.
I was born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland, and attended Salisbury University for my undergraduate education, where I studied political science. I have grown up watching WMDT and the coverage they have provided to the peninsula I love for years. Being able to combine my love for Delmarva with my passion for current events and local happenings made working at WMDT seem like a perfect fit.
In my free time, I love listening to podcasts, going thrifting, and spending time with my friends and family. I have been very lucky to travel extensively over the years, from Iceland to Peru to England, which has only fed my desire to learn more and see as much as possible. Yet it’s important to me to stay active in my community; I serve as a member on the Human Rights Advisory Committee for the City of Salisbury, and continue to participate in political activities on SU’s campus.
At WMDT, I strive to provide you with the most accurate and well-rounded coverage of news near you. While I may not be on your TV screen, you can be sure I am working behind the scenes to bring you the stories that matter.
