Hey Delmarva! My name is Heidi Kristine, I joined the WMDT News Team in August 2025, shortly after graduating from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Journalism and Communication. I am originally from New Jersey, but I have enjoyed vacationing in Delmarva and visiting the Assateague ponies since I was a child.
From a young age, I have been captivated by the world of media, television, film, and popular culture, fueling my dream of becoming a journalist. In college, my love for writing and news led me to my alma mater’s student-run radio station, where I served as a talk show host. I later gained experience reporting, writing stories, producing, and delivering newscasts through my coursework and internships. I am continuing my education at Rutgers University and working toward a master’s degree in digital media and communication.
When I’m not reporting, you can find me reading, spending time with my pets, exercising, hiking, and reconnecting with the outdoors.
