Summer arrives and Island Creamery’s Salisbury location opens

A local ice cream shop is kicking off the summer season by opening its newest Maryland location. 

As of 1:10 PM, on Thursday, the owner of the Island Creamery says the Salisbury location is open for business. The newest location can be found at 306 Dogwood Drive, in Salisbury. The Chincoteague Island-based business now has two Maryland locations, one in Berlin and one in Salisbury.

In regard to the new Salisbury location, owner Kelly Conklin previously told 47ABC that they saw the location and thought is would be a great opportunity to expand in that area, near Salisbury University. He said " it seemed like a good idea after the success with the Berlin location." 

The Island Creamery was featured on 47ABC's "Made on Delmarva" series in February.
