Probation officers find over 1300 bags of heroin hidden in child’s bedroom

In Laurel, probation officers found over 1300 bags of heroin hidden in a child's bedroom while conducting a search Friday morning.

The officers responded to the 11000 block of Kensington Way to conduct a pre-approved administrative search of the home of Jhajuanye Johnson. Johnson who is currently serving a level 4 home confinement sentence for a previous drug dealing conviction, was found to be in possession of $479.00 in suspected drug proceeds along with multiple cell phones, heroin and 95- 12 gauge shotgun shells.

Officers later found over 1300 bags of heroin hidden under a dresser in his child's bedroom.

Members of the Sussex County Governor's Task Force responded to the scene assisted with evidence collection.

Johnson now faces several possession charges along with endangering the welfare of a child

We are told that Johnson was also arrested on an administrative warrant from Probation for violating the conditions of his probation.  Arraignment is currently pending.
