2018 Delmarva Fireworks Show List

Summer is almost upon us! Do you know where you'll be celebrating Independence Day? If not, here is a list of events featuring fireworks displays around Delmarva.

DELAWARE:

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Wednesday, July 4 – The Town of Bethany Beach will host a 4th of July Parade featuring 12 bands and other groups. The Parade kicks off at Noon at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Garfield Parkway. To volunteer or get more information, contact Events Director, Julie Malewski, at 302-539-8725. 

DOVER, Del – Wednesday, July 4 – Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk, around 9:20 PM, in Dover. The 2018 Dover Fourth of July fireworks show by Serpico Fireworks is set to this year's musical theme. Festival with food, vendors, music, a parade, special events, and the very best fireworks show for miles, goes all day starting at 9:00 AM. 

LAUREL, Del. – Wednesday, July 4 – The Town of Laurel will host an Independence Day celebration on July 4. The celebration will feature food and non-food vendors, music, a Little Miss Independence Day Pageant and a cornhole tournament. Fireworks are set for dusk.

LEWES, Del. – Wednesday, July 4 – The City of Lewes continues its long tradition of hosting old-fashioned games for children on Second Street beginning at 9:00 AM. Following the games, the Lewes Independence Day Boat Parade will wind its way down the Lewes – Rehoboth canal from the Roosevelt Inlet to Fisherman's Wharf as part of the City of Lewes' 4th of July holiday festivities. Fireworks are set for dusk in Lewes.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Sunday, July 1 – The City of Rehoboth Beach will celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular firework display by Zambelli Fireworks at approximately 9:15 PM. The fireworks are launched from the beach south of Rehoboth Avenue and visible up and down the boardwalk and beach. Depending on the weather, the fireworks may be launched any time after 8:00 PM. The Funsters will be performing at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand beginning at 8:00 PM.

MARYLAND:

BERLIN, Md. – Tuesday, July 3- The Town of Berlin will host an Independence Day celebration from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Events will take place at the Taylor House Museum. Attendees are encouraged to bring your own picnic. There will be games, slushies, and live music. The "Old Fashioned Independence Day " celebration will also feature a signing of the Declaration of Independence! A fireworks display is set for dusk with the best view from Berlin Falls Park. Bring your chairs and blankets.

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Wednesday, July 4- City of Cambridge will have a fireworks display at dusk, just after 9:00 PM, on the Choptank River. Best viewing spots include: Long Wharf Park, near High and Water Streets, Great Marsh Park, near Somerset Avenue and Hambrooks Boulevard.

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Wednesday, July 4 – Chestertown's July 4th Fireworks display will begin at dusk, in Chestertown. The Wilmer Park is a spectacular viewing spot for the annual 4th of July fireworks shot over the Chester River. Show begins at dusk.

CRISFIELD, Md. – Saturday, July 7 – Freedom Fest- Enjoy a Family oriented day with food, arts & crafts, military color guards, games for kids at Crisfield's Freedom Fest in Somers Cove Marina. The fireworks display will begin at 9:15 PM. Admission is free, but it is recommended that you bring your own lawn chair. 

EASTON, Md. –Wednesday, July 4- The Easton Carnival & 4th of July Celebration is set for June 28 through July 4 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will be located in Waterside Village, behind Target, 28539 Marlboro Avenue, Easton. 

HEBRON, Md. – Friday, July 6 – The Hebron Firemen's Carnival is open  and will be the host location for this year's fireworks display. On July 6th, there will be a fireworks display provided by the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department at 9:30 PM at the carnival grounds.

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Wednesday, July 4 – 4th of July celebration will kick off with a free concert beginning at 8:00 PM. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 PM downtown on the beach at North Division Street and simultaneously, uptown at 125th Street at Northside Park. OCEAN PINES, Md. – Wednesday, July 4 – The Ocean Pines Association will also provide its annual fireworks display around 9:00 PM at Showell Park, on Racetrack Road. The display will begin shortly after dark.  Recommended viewing locations are Showell Elementary School, the Community Church at Ocean Pines, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and The Pavilions.  Free parking will be available.  

OXFORD, Md. – Tuesday, July 3, The Tred Avon Yacht Club of Oxford will have a Independence Day celebration with a fireworks display to be set off around dusk. Prices are $25 for Adults and $10 for kids ages 6 – 11.

ROCK HALL, Md. – Tuesday, July 3 – the Town of Rock Hall will have a fireworks display over the water at the Bulkhead, on Bayside Avenue, at 9:00 PM. Stay overnight and enjoy Rock Hall's July 4th Parade at 10;00 AM. Floats, bands, fire trucks, marchers and horseback riders will be a part of the Independence Day parade beginning on Main Street.

SALISBURY, Md. – Wednesday, July 4 – Fireworks will follow the Delmarva Shorebirds game vs. the Hagerstown Suns at the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

SALISBURY, Md. – Wednesday, July 4  – Red, White, and Boom Fireworks Show  will be held at the Wicomico County Stadium, across from the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM. Fireworks are set to begin  at 9:15 PM. In the event of rain, the event will happen on Thursday, July 5.

SNOW HILL, Md. – Saturday, June 30- Family Fun for Independence Day Celebration – Come to Snow Hill's Independence Day Celebration on June 30 from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, where there will be a fireworks display at Sturgis Park, on River Street. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the Independence Day Fireworks Display at dusk. Neon glow sticks, necklaces and bracelets will be sold. 

ST. MICHAELS, Md. – Saturday, June 30 – Fireworks in the Harbor and Big Band Night is scheduled for 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM, at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, on N. Talbot Street, St. Michaels. Admission to Big Band Night is $6 for CBMM members and member guests, $10 non-members, and . After 8:45 PM, admission will be reduced to $2 for those watching the fireworks only. Food, ice cream, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase during the event. Proceeds benefit the children and adults served by CBMM's educational, exhibit, and boat restoration programs. Don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets. 

VIRGINIA:

CAPE CHARLES, Va. – Wednesday, July 4 – Make a day of it! The Town of Cape Charles will host an Independence Day parade beginning at 10:00 AM. Enjoy food, artisan vendors, and music along the beachfront. The day will also feature a guppie fishing challenge and volleyball tournament. There will be live music and fireworks after dark at the harbor.

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. – Wednesday, July 4, – The Independence Day Fireworks display will begin at approximately 10:00 PM on the Carnival Grounds, on South Main Street. The Carnival will be open from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM with rides, games, and food sponsored by the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company.
