Town continues push to attract visitors with Summer on Somerset

Summer on Somerset is back in Princess Anne for it's second year after a high demand.
Each week features local musicians food trucks games and activities for the family to take part in.
The festivities are part of Main Street Princess Anne's overall plan to bring in more visitors and generate more revenue to the town.
We're told the event brought in about a thousand new visitors to the town last year, and that's at a time during the week when the town normally does not see much activity on main street.
"The folks who came down last year tended to come week after week a lot of them and bring families. It was great to see kind of multi generational groups coming down together and we had a lot of people who were eagerly anticipating the event this year," said Carrie Samis, manager of Main Street Princess Anne.
If you weren't able to make it out Thursday night, don't worry. Summer on Somerset is a weekly event in Princess Anne for the rest of the summer. It happens every Thursday in July and August from 5 to 7 PM.
