Salisbury celebrates taking steps to become a “World Kindness City”

On Monday at Salisbury's city council meeting officials took the initial steps in becoming the first World Kindness USA City in the United States. On Tuesday, officials and community members continued to celebrate the city's progress. The World Kindness USA City's chief advisor came to the eastern shore all the way from Australia to explain the programs mission while commending Salisbury for taking it's first steps to making the world a better place.
"Courage and Kindness are related because every single act of courage is tempered with kindness because both are selfless. That's the mission to wake people up. They're all over the place, ordinary people, we need to be united that's what the pledge says," said Michael Lloyd-White.
The initiative was put in place by Salisbury Resident Grace Murdock who was featured on 47 ABC's Brightside, and who's known for being the creator of the Wicomico Grows Kindness Group.
We'll continue to monitor the city's progress to become the world kindness city over the next couple of months.
