Salt water can be dangerous to your pet resulting in salt poisoning

Since summer is in full swing, some of our dogs love to play in the water, but it may not be always fun in the sun.
Dogs who drink a lot of salt water can actually get salt poisoning. They can also consume it by grooming or licking themselves. Possible symptoms result in diarrhea, vomiting or dehydration.
47 ABC spoke to Dr. William Watson from Atlantic Veterinary Services who says you can see symptoms within an hour. If it's not corrected, they can become more severely affected into two to three hours on a really hot day.
Some tips for pet owners, you should always have fresh water handy for them to drink. It's also best to hose them off as soon as possible.
