Andrews Breaks School Record As Woodbridge Field Hockey Down Laurel
Laurel, DE – The Woodbridge field hockey team picked up a win in their final game of the regular season when they defeated Laurel 3-0. The win improves the Blue Raiders to 10-4-1 while the loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-13.
The teams would battle to a stand still the first half as neither squad would be able to find the back of the cage. Lexi Ullman would deflect and save several shots as the Blue Raiders controlled the ball possession for most the half. The scoring would heat up in the second half though as Woodbridge would crack through as Brady Keeler would fire one home off a corner. Just minutes later she would add another one to open up a 2-0 lead. The Blue Raiders got their final goal of the match shortly after that as Hailey Andrews would send one home. The goal would be her 17th of the season, breaking Woodbridge's single season scoring record.
The Blue Raiders now prepare for post season play.
