GOOD MORNING DELMARVA - President's Scholarship Ball, Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 6 to 11 P.M. at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. Black Tie Attire. An exciting evening is planned with live entertainment, music, dancing, and camaraderie. Festivities will also include a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, gourmet dining, and more. Entertainment will include performance by five-time Grammy award winning artist, Dionne Warwick, music by Mike Hines and The Look and the Joe Baione Jazz Sextet. Net Proceeds from the President's Scholarship Ball benefit scholarships for Delaware State University students as part of DSU's recently launched Greater Than One: Campaign for Students.

Also Delaware State University will present the student production of The Wiz in three performances on Nov. 13 and 14 in the Education and Humanities Theatre on campus.

The production will be performed by a cast of 30 and will feature such music classics such as “Ease on Down the Road,” “Home,” “Be a Lion,” and “If You Believe.” It will also feature fast moving, tantalizing and foot-stomping dancing created by student choreographers Ariael Brooks Porter, Jme Trafton, and LaQuita Williams
