16 Mile Brewery Hosts Delaware Day
GEORGETOWN, Del.- Right
around December 7th the 16 Mile brewing company hosts Delaware Day to honor the
state's signing of the constitution.
This year the event raised
money for “PensforProfessionals,” the Georgetown SPCA, and the Delaware Center
For The Inland Bays, their group even chucked some inland bay oysters so
attendees could taste what they were helping out.
The brewery's owner says
the event, described as being “for Delaware, by Delaware” also helps
bring the neighborhood out to support a local a business, that supports them.
Brett McCrea, co-owner of
16 Mile Brewing says, “One of the things we really like about breweries and
with the growing movement in the US for more craft breweries is we want to
become a social touch stone for the community.”
