Spending Bill Includes Launch Pad Repair Funds

An announcement on Thursday revealed the national spending bill will includes significant funding for repairs following the failed the Antares launch.

In October, the rocket explode  just seconds after lift-off from the Wallops Flight Facility.  $20 million would used to support repairs following the failed launch, specifically the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport’s launch pad.

Accordingt to U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, he bill is scheduled to be considered by both the House and Senate this week.

They are expected to release a detailed list of Virginia priorities in the compromise spending bill following final passage.
