UPDATE: Investigation continues into Laurel home invasion

The search continues for suspects who allegedly attacked and robbed an elderly man in Laurel Delaware.

According to Delaware State Police, early Thursdsay morning around 2:00 AM, two suspects reportedly broke into a home on Bacons road while a 78-year-old man was asleep.

Police say a suspect hit him over the head with a blunt object and tied him up while another suspect searched his home and found money. Afterwards, the two reportedly fled.

47 ABC checked in with the victim at his home today. He says he is not injured and is in good spirits. While he says he is unsure who the suspects are, investigators believe this was not a random act.
