Dover PD decides to opt out of national LEAD celebration

Not every agency is celebrating Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Spokesman for the Dover Police Department, Mark Hoffman, says they are very appreciative of the initiative and what is being done across the country, but they have decided to “stay out” of the event.

Hoffman says the organizations behind the national event have given their opinions about some of the issues across the country, and they do not want to associate themselves with those stances.
