Tax Aide Program not available at MAC, Inc.

For the first time in over 25 years, the AARP “Tax Aide Program” will not take place at MAC, Incorporated this year but help is still available.
The program offers free tax-preparation services to taxpayers with low and moderate income. Apparently, AARP did not had enough volunteers to make the 40-plus hour commitment needed to make this program function at MAC.
Program coordinator at Shore Up! tells 47 ABC they have a similar tax preparation program available for families that make $53,000 a year or less.
“If you make a little over, it would depend on your situation. But we definitely gear towards lower to moderate income individuals and families.” Explains Evans.
Anyone interested in learning more about this program or how to volunteer, should contact Evans at 410-749-1142, extension 356.
The AARP program will also run in Worcester and Dorchester counties.
