Sussex Tech wins in overtime over Caesar Rodney

Sussex Tech hosted Caesar Rodney on Thursday night at the Ravens home looking to get their first win of the week.

The Ravens got off to a slow start and did not look like themselves – it looked like they did not anticipate the Riders to come out on fire. Even with Caesar Rodney playing extremely well, Sussex Tech maintained a close game through the first half.

The second half, Tech found their rhythm and began to chip away at the Caesar Rodney lead eventually sending the game into overtime.

After missing a large chunk of the second quarter and with three minutes remaining in the third quarter, Shi’wan Sykes had 11 points; however, Sykes stepped up big at the end of the third and the entire fourth quarter finishing with 28 points.

The Ravens got it done in overtime taking the 77-74 win over the Riders.
