Worcester Co. Public Schools Twitter reactivated

Worcester County School District is back on Twitter, but they’re using a new Twitter handle: @WorcesterSystem

The school board reactivated their account on Tuesday.

Last Friday, the account was temporarily deactivated because a fake Twitter account was created. It reportedly sent a tweet telling students they had the day off last Thursday when, in fact, they did not.

School officials say they identified a student as the culprit behind the twitter incident, and we’re told disciplinary actions have been taken.
