A Heartbreaking End For Decatur Girls Basketball

The Stephen Decatur girls basketball team went on a thrilling run this season making history for the Seahawks. That run came to a devastating end on Monday night after falling to the Westlake Wolverines in front of a home crowd.

The Seahawks came out strong, but it was the Wolverines who capped off the game with the win. The game was physical and very intense for both sides, but the Wolverines took that to another level by shoving a Seahawks player on the ground. Despite the loss tonight, the Decatur girls hold their heads high and walk away with a Bayside Championship!

A phenomenal season for the Seahawks – there are some high lights from the game – as well as post-game sound from a very emotional coach and player. An an outsider, it is obvious that Decatur is more than just a team – they are family.
