Milford man accused of assaulting pregnant woman

A Milford man is behind bars, after he reportedly kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach during an argument.

Milford Police say on Monday, Officers were called to the Valley Run Apartments, for reports of a domestic dispute. Once on scene, Police say they found that 29-year-old Olvince Mompremier and a 33-year-old pregnant woman were arguing, when it turned physical with Mompremier shoving the woman to the ground, and kicking her in the stomach.

Police say the woman was rushed to Milford Bayhealth Hospital where she was admitted and treated. Mompremier was arrested, charged with abuse of pregnant female 1st degree, and is now being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on $25,000 cash bond.
