Moe’s prepares to open in Salisbury

Moe’s Southwest Grill will officially open its doors in Salisbury on Friday, but hosted a number of pre-opening events this week.

Thursday’s event drew in crowds, with some people reportedly camping out for free burritos on Wednesday night. The first 600 people in line received free lunches from Moe’s on Thursday, with the first 75 customers receiving a free burrito each week for the next year.

47 ABC spoke to one winner, Keiana Parks, moments after she received her first free meal.

“Well, I feel really fantastic that I won today. The burritos were great! Just a great time being here and I can’t wait to get my burritos once a week for a year.” Says Parks.

Moe’s also held a *$10 All-You-Can-Eat* pre-opening fundraiser to support two area schools Thursday evening. The James M. Bennet high school junior class will 100% percent of the proceeds earned from 4:30 to 6:30. While proceeds from their 6:30 to 8:30 fundraiser will go to Delmar High’s junior class.
