Vikings Fall to 12th-Ranked Bulldogs In Lacrosse Tilt

The Cape Henlopen High School boy’s lacrosse team hosted the 12th-ranked squad in the nation in The Bullis School from Maryland on Friday night, and fell 16-4. The Vikings move to 1-1 for the season.

The Bulldogs jumped out early in this one, scoring the first three goals before Cape got on the board. Kyle Orton, who scored three of the four goals for the Vikings, pushed through the defense on the left side and fired one into the back of the net while falling to get Cape within two.

But Bullis kept its distance throughout this game, outscoring the Vikings in each quarter.

Cape’s Christopher Argo tended the net for the game, turning away six shots in the effort.

The Vikings continue with the tough competition playing host to Gonzaga College High School from D.C., on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Gonzaga is listed as the No. 2-ranked squad in the country.
