Dover woman hospitalized after a serious single vehicle crash

A Dover woman is recovering from serious injuries following serious single vehicle crash Sunday morning.

Investigators say 42 year-old Janet Lewis was driving on Judith Road just before noon Sunday, when she apparently swerved off the roadway, struck a mailbox and a telephone pole before crashing into a tree.

Emergency responders transported Lewis to Kent General Hospital.

The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is still trying to find out how she lost control of her vehicle this morning.
