Five indicted following meth lab investigation in Caroline County

Five people have been indicted, after a two month investigation into illegal methamphetamine labs in Caroline County.
The Caroline County Drug Task Force says in January and February 2015, they investigated four separate meth labs, two in Greensboro, one in Marydel, and one in Goldsboro. According to the report, evidence was seized at all four locations, indicating that the drug was being illegally made at the properties.
In February 2015, the Task Force brought the evidence before the grand jury. Following the testimony, Jeffrey Betch of Marydel, Jason Bass of Goldsboro, Rae Ann Lednum of Denton, Donald Kibler of Greensboro, and Richard Miller of Greensboro, were all indicted. Edward Collins, of Goldsboro, was given a criminal summons, and served at his Goldsboro residence. All were charged with offenses related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
As of April 13th, all of the suspects have been arrested, and charged, including Kibler, who was already behind bars at the Caroline County Detention Center on other drug related charges. Officials say the process of illegally manufacturing methamphetamine is extremely volatile, can pose a fire/explosion hazard, and makes a harmful odor.
