Seahawks Remain Untouched With 16-0 Shutout Over Warriors

The Stephen Decatur High School baseball team hit the road Monday afternoon looking to maintain its undefeated record and did just that, cruising past Mardela on a 16-0 shutout. With the victory, the Seahawks move to 8-0 for the season, while the Warriors move to 2-5.
Decatur scored early and often in the opening innings, spreading the lead to 11-0 through the first three innings. In the third inning, following a base hit by Will Sass, a first-pitch bomb over the left-field fence by designated hitter Justin Meekins gave the Seahawks their 11-run advantage.
Sean Colgan recorded the win on the mound.
Decatur stays on the road for its next game, heading to Crisfield on Wednesday. Mardela heads on the road as well for a matchup against James M. Bennett on Tuesday. Both games are set for a 4 p.m., first pitch.
