Salisbury’s Camden Avenue community “grows” together

On Saturday afternoon, members of the Camden Avenue community came together to install raised beds in an empty lot on Camden Avenue.

The raised beds will eventually grow vegetables as a part of a community vegetable garden which will provide free veggies to all members of the Camden Avenue community.

Members of The Corner Church Collective, which consists of the Beacon of Light Adventist Church, Bethany Lutheran Church, Community of Joy Church of the Brethren, and The Restoration Project.

As pastor Martin Hutchinson, the Pastor at the Community of Joy Church of the Bretheren, says, it’s already bringing the community together.

“I’ve seen neighbors introduce themselves to each other here today that they didn’t know before so it’s making connections neighbors to neighbors it’sjust a really neat thing.” Says Hutchinson.
