UPDATE: DSU now open to public after shootings

Delaware State University is back to their normal operations after two shootings had them turning away visitors.
The institution banned the public from it’s campus following two separate shootings over the weekend.
One on the campus of DSU, the other was at an off campus apartment complex.
As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made.
DSU spokesman Carlos Holmes tells 47 ABC that around 8:00 PM Saturday night, a gunman opened fire at an annual Greek cook out event on campus.
As a result, three men who were not affiliated with the university were transported to Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Then at 1:15 AM Sunday morning, four shots were fired just off campus at the University Courtyard apartment complex.
Holmes says, “I think that it was very specific to whatever was transpiring at the event. I don’t think the public is in big danger because of this incident.”
Delaware State University police are leading the investigation.
